The Six Ren Converging to Gen Pattern specifically refers to a special destiny configuration where a person is born on a Ren day (such as Ren Yin, Ren Chen, etc.) during the Jia Yin hour. At this time, the Yin wood secretly combines with the Hai water, which can draw out the hidden Lu position of Ren water within Hai (i.e., the "Hidden Lu" 🔥). This pattern is considered more precious than an openly visible Lu position. It most fears the reappearance of the character "Hai" in the Eight Characters (which would cause the Hidden Lu to be filled in and become ineffective), and also fears clashes, penalties among the Earthly Branches, or clashes among the Heavenly Stems. Among them, Ren Yin Day and Ren Chen Day are the most typical—if the character "Yin" appears multiple times in the Eight Characters, it indicates great wealth, because the Jia wood (Food Spirit 🌱) within Yin produces Bing fire (Wealth Star 🔥, as Bing fire is in a state of growth within Yin). Strong wealth can then produce the Officer Star (earth ⛰), forming a virtuous cycle. However, it is cautioned against the Officer Star (earth ⛰) or the Seven Killings (earth) over-restraining the Day Master, or Shen metal or Geng metal damaging the Jia wood (which would prevent the generation of wealth 🔥). Another viewpoint adds: When Ren days have many Yin, the Jia wood within Yin can secretly invite and combine with Ji earth to become the Officer Star ⛰ for Ren water, while the Bing fire 🔥 within Yin invites and combines with Xin metal to become the Seal Star (metal 💍) for Ren water. In this case, one should avoid Wu fire combining and entangling Yin wood, Shen metal clashing with Yin wood, and also fear the Wealth and Officer Stars becoming overly strong and filling in. This pattern favors a strong Day Master, with the same principle applying to luck periods. An ancient formula warns: "If Six Ren Converging to Gen is born in the Hai month, it will inevitably lead to poverty"; the Xiang Xin Fu praises it as "full of wisdom and benevolence"; while the Zhen Bao Fu emphasizes that "only when the Wealth Star 🔥 or Seal Star 💍 is revealed is it an extraordinary pattern; if the Officer and Killings ⛰ run rampant, it instead becomes a pattern of poverty and lowliness."
Using Yin wood as the pivot, hidden resources (Hidden Lu) are activated through the secret combination of Earthly Branches (Yin-Hai combination), and the path of Food Spirit (Jia wood 🌱) producing Wealth (Bing fire 🔥) is leveraged to achieve wealth appreciation, which is then transformed into career opportunities (Wealth produces Officer ⛰). The essence is a wisdom pattern that skillfully utilizes "intangible energy."
"An open Lu is not as good as a hidden Lu" reveals that overt advantages are easily coveted, while hidden capabilities are more resilient. The key to the pattern's success or failure lies in whether the "pivot" (Yin wood) is damaged—reminding modern individuals to protect core skills (Jia wood 🌱) and innovative capacity (Bing fire 🔥), resisting external erosion (Geng metal ⚔️).
