《滴天髓》云：能知衰旺之真机，其于三命之奥，思过半矣。

旺则宜泻宜伤，衰则喜帮喜助，子平之理也。然旺中有衰者存，不可损也；衰中有旺者存，不可益也。旺之极者不可损，以损在其中矣；衰之极者不可益，以益在其中矣。至于实所当损者，而损之反凶；弱所当益者。而益之反害。如此真机，皆能知之，又何难于详察三命之微奥焉。

按：欲求用神之所在，当知衰旺之真相。欲知衰旺之真相，当知旺中有衰，衰中有旺，旺极忌损，衰极忌益之义。否则似是而非，岂能鉴别荣枯耶。

论四吉神能破格
