Some people are naturally endowed with the glory of wealth and nobility in life, able to prosper, enjoy blessings, and maintain them until the end. What is the reason for this? 🌱 It is because the Day Master (the heavenly stem of the birth day) in their birth chart is exceptionally strong, and the Auspicious Gods (such as the Wealth Star, Official Star, Seal Star, or Food God) they rely on are all endowed with禄位 (positions of power) and authority. These gods are prosperous and in command, neither biased nor mixed, and free from clashes, damages, or harms. This forms a pure foundation for wealth and nobility. Such individuals can later develop their talents, revitalize their ancestors' legacy, achieve contemporary fame, avoid slander and harm, and experience step-by-step auspiciousness in life. If the birth chart is even more auspicious, it can be described as having a clear source and clean flow, enabling them to enjoy blessings beyond others and maintain their integrity without harm. All of this is due to the fate's continuous growth and prosperity, not by chance but by destiny. How can one not discern this clearly?
There are also those who live in poverty, hardship, loneliness, and displacement but suddenly rise to prominence when their luck turns: they may start from scratch and accumulate wealth, or assist a ruler and benefit the people, holding high positions alone. Why is there such a dramatic contrast in their lives? 🌊 This is because the Day Master in their birth chart lacks vitality and strength. Although the noble gods they rely on are in the right positions and prosperous, the Day Master is too weak to bear the blessings, leading to a life of toil and hardship. Suddenly, when their luck supports the Day Master, strengthening it, the useful gods become effective. Like a tiger roaring and the wind rising, the useful gods of the original fate are finally utilized, leading to a sudden rise. This is a case of偏气 (partial energy) meeting harmony and衰中逢旺 (prosperity emerging from decline), enabling them to rise with auspiciousness. The scale of their achievements and merits depends on the weight of their fate.
There are also cases where the Day Master is strong, and the four pillars of the birth chart are purely dominated by the杀神 (Killing God) without mixture. Both the body and the煞神 are strong, but there is no mechanism to control the煞神, preventing the attainment of wealth and nobility. Only when luck arrives to control the煞神, transforming it into authority, can their talents and virtues be displayed, making them high officials with outstanding achievements and fame. This is a case where a strong body meets a controlled煞神, transforming it into authority. If the controlling force is strong, the blessings will be extraordinary. How can such individuals not rise from poverty to the highest honors? However, such a fate requires the support of luck to flourish. If the luck does not arrive, they remain ordinary people.
Alternatively, some have a birth chart where the Day Master is strong, and the useful gods are also strong, creating a balance. They are the worthy children of wealthy families, growing up prosperous. However, when恶曜 (malefic stars) arrive in their luck, the wealth, official status, seals, and food gods of their original fate are plundered, injured, damaged, or harmed, leading to endless disasters. Thus, their prime years are overturned, and they fail to prosper. Once the bad luck passes, and good luck supports the body, the useful gods are renewed. Like withered seedlings receiving rain or a feather encountering wind, they rise suddenly and irresistibly.
Others have a birth chart where the五行 (Five Elements) are strong, and the羊刃 (Yang Blade) and比肩 (Companion Stars) compete for dominance. However, the财官煞神 (Wealth, Official, and Killing Gods) are weak and insufficient, unable to achieve anything. If their luck does not enter a favorable phase, they will suffer from hunger, cold, and toil throughout their lives, with ambitions unfulfilled. Alternatively, in middle or old age, they may suddenly encounter杀运 (Killing Luck), using the煞神 as authority to control the羊刃, gaining power, fame, or wealth. The outcome depends on the clarity or turbidity of their luck. This is a case of lifelong poverty suddenly turning into prosperity in middle or old age. Thus, it is clear that if the original fate relies on wealth and official stars but lacks vitality, it is only when luck arrives that wealth and nobility are achieved. Those who have not yet prospered will do so when their luck arrives. Should scholars not strive for this?
The body refers to the Day Master, and the useful gods refer to the spirits stored in the month used for analysis. Fate is like water, and luck is its source: the source is fate, and the flow is luck. (Yin, Shen, Si, Hai) are the four birth phases of the五行, and their presence in the pillars signifies vitality. The classics say: "Using authority to compare power, the literary champion and noble guest refer to this." For example,甲 (Jia) uses庚 (Geng) as the煞神 and controls it with丙 (Bing). This passage is like a giant ship encountering wind, metaphorically describing fate meeting good luck and suddenly flourishing. Authority and nobility are about the commanding hours,无非才官印食而已 (nothing more than wealth, official, seal, and food gods).
On the rise and fall: In life, some have pure煞神 as their useful god. If the煞神 is not controlled, they may be ordinary people with no prospects or outstanding figures from noble families. Therefore, they need to encounter luck that controls the煞神, using it to rise and serve the court, wielding authority and blessings, with achievements beyond measure. However, if the controlling luck enters the wealth phase, it may ally with the煞神, bringing disaster. If the official and煞神 are strong in luck, the original fate may lose its balance. Those whose fate allies with the煞神 may encounter sudden misfortune. If the流年 (annual luck) brings slight prosperity to wealth and煞神, the煞神 may ally with other forces, each bringing calamity. If the body is isolated and harmed, the light consequence is loss of family and exile, while the heavy consequence is punishment or death. Thus, the combination of煞神 is fearsome and凶亡 (disastrous). Those with煞刃 (Killing Blade)难免祸福 (cannot avoid both calamity and blessing).
There are also those whose birth chart has the正气官星 (upright Official Star) from the月令 (monthly command), signifying lifelong wealth and nobility. However, they benefit only when encountering seal luck. The Official Star thrives when supported by wealth and protected by seals. Thus, such individuals can practice benevolence and virtue, govern the country, hold high positions and titles, and achieve nobility. Later, if they enter a phase where the煞神 is strong, and the煞神's禄位 (position of power) aligns with the year's煞神, the official star may turn into a ghost, inevitably leading to loss of life. If they do not encounter煞运 or enter a phase of伤官 (Hurting Official) without the seal to control it, the伤官 will dominate, damaging their禄位, causing loss of spouse, children, position, and disasters. If the流年 further supports this, damaging the official star and subjecting it to克制 (restriction),惨恶 (tragic and evil) death is certain. Thus, when official禄 encounters damage, avoiding剥戮 (stripping and killing) is difficult. Even with foresight, understanding the opportunities of advance and retreat, survival and demise, and protecting oneself, if official禄 is damaged,六亲 (six relatives) may avoid disaster, but the individual may still suffer from恶疾 (vicious illness) and die.
Others have a birth chart that specializes in useful gods without官煞气 (official or煞 energy). Only偏财 (partial wealth) or正财 (upright wealth) is prosperous, with the财神 dominating, leading to hidden prosperity and accumulation of wealth, but with little nobility. To understand this, observe their luck: if wealth encounters the prosperous phase of official禄, they may achieve wealth and nobility in court. However, if不幸 (unfortunately) the财神 loses its position and meets羊刃, wealth and blessings will be overturned, leading to multiple disasters. Alternatively, if the流年 clashes or combines with羊刃, damaging the财神, the fate's vitality declines绝 (to exhaustion), and羊刃 generates misfortune, leading to extreme failure and demise.
(White House) refers to ordinary commoner families, and途 (path) refers to those with no support or出路 (way out).徒配 (exile) means being convicted and sent away, and馆驿 (post station) refers to relay stations.岁煞 (yearly煞神) refers to the地支 (earthly branches) of the流年, such as子午冲 (clash between Zi and Wu),空亡 (empty death), or丧门 (gate of mourning).财官 (wealth and official) are purely benevolent stars. Without clashes or harms, they generate wealth; encountering strong seals indicates nobility; meeting恶煞 (malefic煞神) leads to ruin, like a good person encountering evil without a noble mediator.
