Overall Translation
This chapter elaborates on how the five elements influence human physical characteristics, health, diseases, and lifespan. The five day masters (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth) each exhibit distinct physical traits, which may vary under the influence of other elements. The ten heavenly stems correspond to specific organs and diseases; when weakened, encountering conflicting annual cycles may trigger illnesses. Through classical poetry, the relationship between the five elements' interactions and lifespan is revealed. Finally, the key to determining life-threatening crises lies in analyzing the state of the useful god (用神) and the clashes in luck cycles.

The ancient idea of the unity of medicine and destiny reflects a holistic philosophy—the human body is a microcosm, and the five elements are energy symbols connecting heaven, earth, and humans. This wisdom, which maps natural laws to human health, resonates deeply with modern holographic theory and systems biology. The concept of "balance through control and transformation" is a pioneering exploration in preventive medicine.

Modern Research:
Contemporary studies on TCM constitution have found statistical correlations between the five elements’ physical classifications and genetic expression as well as metabolic traits, validating the scientific value of traditional five elements physical theory.
Note: The content of this chapter should be viewed rationally in combination with modern medical knowledge.命理 judgments should serve as references for health management rather than absolute diagnostic basis. It is recommended to integrate traditional wisdom with modern medical check-ups to establish a scientific health prevention system.
