五行者，金木水火土，其数有五，并往来乎天地这间，而不穷者也，故谓之行。

金

原始：西方阴止以收而生燥，燥乃生金。
性：属少阴，沉下而有所止。
体：至阴中含至阳，故光明可照。
质：坚刚。
天干：庚辛属金。
地支：申酉属金。
支藏：申酉戌巳丑中皆藏金。
生克：受土之生；生水；为火所克；克木。
种类：金分六类，各有喜忌。
（一）强金，当令或繁为强，喜木分力，火煅练，水吐秀，忌土生金，金加重。
（二）弱金，失令或頹少为弱，喜土生金，金比助忌水分力，火克制水泄气。

四季金之喜忌

春：值囚令。
喜：未尽，贵乎火气为荣，性体柔弱，爱得薄土之资生，既见火，由喜金来比助。
忌：水盛则金寒，有用等于无用，木盛则金折，至刚转为不刚。
夏：值死令
喜：性柔，遇薄土则资生有益，形未充，得金比，则扶持精壮。时方在炎，逢水滋则金润泽。
忌：火多则销熔，木盛则伤身，土厚则埋没无光。
秋：值旺令
喜：当权得令，遇火煅练，则成钟鼎之材；见水吐秀，则精神发越；逢木斫削，则施威逞才。
忌：金助愈刚，刚过必缺，土再资生，反为顽浊。
冬：值休令

木

水

原始：北方阴极而生寒，寒乃生水。
性：属太阴，润下。
体：积阴之寒气反而为水，水虽阴物，阳含于内，故水体内明。

地藏：巳午未寅戌中皆藏火。
生克：受木之生，生火，为水所克，克金。
种类：火分六类，和有喜忌。
