太阳行度不虚行，大寒五目子相迎。
雨水五日居亥上，春分初七戌分明。 谷雨九晨临酉位，小满十日便过申。 夏至九晨归未上，大暑八日午运行。 处暑当加九日巳，秋分十一始来辰。 霜降十三乌出卯，小雪十二始居寅。 冬至八日来丑位，十二宫中不暂停。

欲识太阴行度时，正月初一起于危。 一 日常行十三度，五日两宫次第推。 二奎三胃四从毕，五井六柳张居七。 八月翌宿以为初，龙角季秋任游立。 十月房宿作元神，十一箕上细寻觅。 十二牛女切须知，周天之度无差忒。
太阴廿八日行一周天，如正月甘七八复至危度矣。

It moves approximately one degree per day and shifts one zodiac sign per month, completing a full cycle of 365.25 degrees in a year. The Sun never stops moving: on the day of the new moon (the first day of the lunar month), it still belongs to the previous degree, while on the day of the full moon (the fifteenth day), it enters the subsequent degree. This must be verified through dawn and dusk phenomena. If the Sun and Moon converge in the southwest (Chen, Si, or Wei palaces) during a new moon and coincide with stars like Rahu and Ketu, a solar eclipse is likely to occur; if in the northeast, no eclipse will occur. Although a solar eclipse during a nighttime new moon is not visible, astrologically, it indicates the early passing of one’s father and a lifetime of hardships for oneself. The Moon (Taiyin) is the master of one’s physical and emotional well-being 🌙, moving approximately 13 degrees per day (with a maximum of 14–15 degrees and a minimum of 11–12 degrees). Its movement is relatively difficult to grasp. One should not rigidly use Mao (5–7 a.m.) and You (5–7 p.m.) to determine time but must rely on actual sunrise and sunset times (e.g., sunrise during the Yin hour is considered dawn, while sunset during the Shen hour is already dusk).
