General Paraphrase
The Mixed Qi Wealth and Official Pattern refers to individuals born in the months of Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei—these four earthly branches are known as the "mixed qi" positions 🌪. Chen contains Yi, Gui, and Wu; Xu contains Xin, Ding, and Wu; Chou contains Gui, Xin, and Ji; Wei contains Ding, Yi, and Ji—these are the "impure qi" of heaven and earth. For example, Jia Wood originally resides in the Yin position (eastern Yang Wood), while Yi Wood governs the Mao position, overseeing the spring energy of the east. Chen, situated at the southeastern border, is a transitional zone between spring and summer, where qi fields mix and energy lacks focus, hence the name "mixed qi."
The core of this pattern is: an abundance of Wealth Stars (symbolizing riches) brings nobility 🔥. However, for those born in Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei months, if the Sha Star (Seven Killings) is too strong, it must be subdued. Excessive Sha is detrimental, while moderation is beneficial. The key to prosperity lies in entering a Wealth-flourishing fortune 💰.
This typically refers to individuals born in the third (Chen), sixth (Wei), ninth (Xu), or twelfth (Chou) months. Due to the chaotic qi field and dispersed energy, external stimulation is required.
Bazi Case Studies
Case of Li Yudai: Year Pillar Wu Zi, Month Pillar Xin You, Day Pillar Yi Chou, Hour Pillar Ding Wei; this is a Mixed Qi Wealth and Official Pattern with the Wealth Star revealed.
Case of Huang Zhuangyuan: Year Pillar Ren Zi, Month Pillar Jia Chen, Day Pillar Jia Chen, Hour Pillar Ren Shen; the Official Star is prominent, with strong official energy within the mixed qi.
Case of Yang Hewang: Year Pillar Ren Zi, Month Pillar Yi Si, Day Pillar Ding Wei, Hour Pillar Geng Xu; both Wealth and Official Stars are excellent, making effective use of mixed qi.
Case of Wang Shangshu: Year Pillar Wu Zi, Month Pillar Xin You, Day Pillar Ren Xu, Hour Pillar Yi Hai; the Metal Official is revealed, and the Wealth Vault awaits activation.
Case of Lin Shilang: Year Pillar Ding Chou, Month Pillar Gui You, Day Pillar Ji You, Hour Pillar Wu Chen; the Wealth Star is stored in the vault and requires activation through clash.
In mixed qi, if the Official Star, Wealth Star, or Seal Star enters the tomb (hidden in the earthly branches), activation through clash, harm, or penalty is necessary 💥; otherwise, it is difficult to achieve prominence. Other types of mixed qi have lesser impacts.
Poetry Translation
Mixed qi wealth and official hidden in the lunar palace,
Revealed in the heavenly stems, prosperity enhances.
Where wealth and official flourish, clash is desired,
Avoid heavy suppression in branches and stems.
Mixed qi wealth and official in the four vaults,
Clash, harm, penalty—do not mistake.
Wealth revealed in heavenly stems forms the pattern,
Strong body, abundant wealth, rank and fortune accompany.
Mixed qi has never brought light fortune,
Revealed in heavenly stems, it becomes true.
Strong body, flourishing wealth breeds official rank,
Fortune sees clash and penalty, treasures fill the basin.
The Mixed Qi Wealth and Official Pattern emphasizes "chaotic qi fields require stimulation"—those born in Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei months possess impure energy that must be activated through the revelation of Wealth or Official Stars in the heavenly stems or through clashes and penalties in the earthly branches. The core lies in balance and control: abundant wealth brings nobility, excessive Sha requires subduing, and prosperity comes with Wealth-flourishing fortunes.
Mixed qi reveals the cosmic principle of "order born from chaos"—impurity is not a flaw but latent potential. Modern society often seeks "purity," but true progress stems from多元融合 (e.g., interdisciplinary innovation). Clashes and penalties are not destruction but opportunities for rebirth 🌱.
