General Meaning
The Tomb of Time theory discusses situations where the Wealth Star or Official Star is hidden in the tomb library (Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei). 🌱 The "door of the library" must be "opened" through methods such as punishment, clash, break, or harm for the fate owner to prosper. Ancient texts state: those who do not prosper in their youth are often due to wealth and officials being trapped in the tomb. If the tomb library is suppressed (e.g., hindered by other stems and branches), it becomes difficult to attain fortune, and external forces are needed to break the suppression. However, the fortune gained is relatively shallow. ⚠️ The entry of the Ghost (Seven Killers) into the tomb is particularly ominous, and the same applies to the Wealth Star. This is a secretly transmitted insight and should not be lightly disclosed.
For example: Ding Fire uses Chen Earth as the official library. If there is a combination such as Cheng Chen suppressing it, Ding Fire cannot obtain an official position.
Poetic Interpretation in Vernacular
Wealth and officials hidden in the hour pillar’s tomb library; encountering punishment or clash in youth can lead to a rise. If there is no punishment or clash but instead suppression, youth will surely lack success.
Northern Ren Gui Water meeting Chen (He Kui); Southern Fire and Earth encountering Chou and Wei bring auspicious times. A wealthy treasury fills halls with gold and jade; a carefree life accompanies fortune.
The discussion of wealth and officials in the tomb library (Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei) all requires a "key" to unlock. Suppressed wealth and officials are not unusual; punishment, clash, break, and harm are the true keys.
Wealth and officials must be exposed to be useful; a weak body with a ghost in the tomb is most dangerous.
The tomb library symbolizes hidden potential resources that need to be "activated" (through punishment or clash) to be utilized; otherwise, they remain buried.
The dialectic of hidden and revealed: all things require the right timing to realize their value; adversity often conceals opportunities.
General Meaning
Peer Comparison (Bi Jian) refers to Yang meeting Yang or Yin meeting Yin (e.g., Jia meeting Jia), similar to siblings; Yang meeting Yin is called Defeated Wealth (Jia meeting Yi), and Yin meeting Yang is called Robbing Wealth (Yi meeting Jia). The auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of Peer Comparison depends on the pattern: when the body is strong and has Seal, Peer Comparison becomes a calamity (robbing wealth and dividing officials); when the body is weak and rootless, Peer Comparison can help the body resist Killers and Harm. ⚖️ The degree of severity must be weighed.
Examples of Defeated Wealth and Robbing Wealth: Jia meeting Yi (Defeated), Yi meeting Jia (Robbing); Bing meeting Ding (Defeated), Ding meeting Bing (Robbing); Wu meeting Ji (Defeated), Ji meeting Wu (Robbing); Geng meeting Xin (Defeated), Xin meeting Geng (Robbing); Ren meeting Gui (Defeated), Gui meeting Ren (Robbing).
Example of a Famous Figure's Eight Characters
Grand Marshal Gao: Jia Wood as Day Master, born in You month (Autumn Metal is strong), Year Stem Geng Metal is the Seven Killers attacking the body, but Yi Wood (sister) bonds with Geng Metal (greedy bond forgets the Killer), the Hour Pillar Yi Hai Wood generates assistance. Moving to Chou luck removes Fire and preserves Metal, reaching the second rank in official position. 📈 Key: Wood in Autumn likes Long Life (Hai Water), Blade (Yi Wood) helps the body control the Killer.
Poetic Interpretation in Vernacular
Hurt Official encountering Peer Comparison is not feared; the same applies to Seven Killers without roots. A strong body fears Peer Comparison robbing wealth; a weak body welcomes Peer Comparison aiding in the end.
Meeting the Yang Blade at the hour is not entirely ominous; a strong body反而 brings fortune, so do not lament clashes. Reunion in years and months is to be avoided; the Yang Blade at birth hour is not an angry palace.
Spring Wood, Summer Fire, Autumn Metal, Winter Water; the Yang Blade exposed and luck重逢 brings misfortune. The essence of the Yang Blade is Robbing Wealth.
Peer Comparison/Yang Blade is a "double-edged sword": it protects the body when weak but robs resources when strong; judgment must be based on the overall Five Elements strength.
The Dao of Balance: mutual assistance and competition coexist;过度依赖或排斥 both lose the middle path.
General Meaning
The Yang Blade (e.g., Wu Blade in Wu, Ren Blade in Zi) dislikes entering the Wealth Land (Zheng Cai luck) but welcomes the mutual control of Killer and Blade (Killer without Blade lacks authority, Blade without Killer lacks manifestation). When the body is strong, having both Killer and Blade brings wealth and honor; when weak, it brings calamity. 🚫 Clashing with the Yang Blade is highly ominous (e.g., Wu Day with Wu Blade dislikes Zi luck); it favors Seal Ribbon or controlling Killer luck.
Examples of Famous Figures' Eight Characters
Poetic Interpretation in Vernacular
Repeated Yang Blades are not necessarily harmful; the master is strong-willed and spirited. Heavy punishment and clash require control and transformation; only with control can auspiciousness be ensured.
The mutual control of Killer and Blade is like taming a beast: balance between Killer (pressure) and Blade (energy) leads to great achievements; imbalance leads to disaster.
Crisis as Opportunity: Extreme forces, when harmonized, can transform into achievements, like the military strategy "placing oneself in死地而后生."
General Meaning
Only Wu Wu, Bing Wu, and Ren Zi days are considered Day Blade patterns. ⚠️ They dislike punishment, clash, break, harm, and meeting Wealth Stars; they favor Official Killers controlling the Blade. Official Killer luck brings nobility; encountering Wealth luck brings calamity. The fate owner has large eyes, long beard, a resolute personality, and lacks benevolence. If accompanied by punishment/clash or Kui Gang, they may rise in border regions. The Day Blade克妻, the Hour Blade克子, and clashing luck is highly ominous.
Example: Administrator Ge has Wu Wu Day Blade, favored by Yi Mao Hour Official Star controlling the Blade for fortune.
Poetic Interpretation in Vernacular
Day Blade is the same as Yang Blade, favoring meeting Official Killers. The year ruler without harm or robbery; punishment and clash establish military merit.
Ren Zi dislikes Wu clash; Bing Wu fears Shen combination. Yang Blade and Seven Killers dislike punishment and clash; meeting Wealth Land brings disaster.
The Day Blade carries extreme energy in the Day Pillar, requiring "restraint" (Official Killers) to transform harm into achievement.
Philosophy of Balance: Personal power needs social norms (Official Killers) to guide it; otherwise, it becomes destructive.
General Meaning
The Yang Blade is an ominous star (the position before Lu), favoring Seven Killers and Seal Ribbon, disliking Fan Yin Fu Yin and Kui Gang San He. 🌪️ Yang Stems (Jia, Bing, Wu, Geng, Ren) have Blades; Yin Stems have no Blades, hence called Yang Blade. Having a Blade is not necessarily ominous—it often indicates wealth and honor, but requires both Killer and Blade, with a strong body and supportive luck. If the original局 has Killer and Blade and encounters them again in year luck, calamity is heavy; encountering Killer luck without a Killer反而 brings fortune. A weak body with strong Killer is most feared.
Example: Jia Lu is in Yin, Mao is the Yang Blade. Having both Killer and Seal brings nobility; lacking Seal and having evil Killers leads to theft; punishment/clash with evil stars leads to imprisonment or bad death.
Poetic Interpretation in Vernacular
Bing Wu Horse (Wu), Ren Rat (Zi) favor Official Killers; punishment, clash, break fear Wealth Land.
Yang Blade clashing with the year ruler brings swift disaster; meeting Three Punishments and Seven Killers leads to death.
Yang Blade dislikes Official Star punishment and clash; strong wealth and San He bring残疾 misfortune.
The Yang Blade is potential explosive force: properly harnessed (Killer and Seal) it brings nobility; out of control, it brings disaster.
Ethics of Power: Great ability requires moral restraint (Seal and Killer); otherwise, it harms oneself and others.
