Overall Meaning
Rob Wealth refers to the relationship between the day stem in the BaZi and other stems and branches. For example, if the day stem is乙木 (Yin Wood) and it encounters甲木 (Yang Wood), it is called Rob Wealth. (Yang Metal) as the spouse star (official star). If丙火 (Yang Fire) is present in the BaZi and克制 (restrains)庚金, it may harm the husband. In male命运 (destiny charts), encountering Rob Wealth may lead to harming the wife. The five Yang day stems (甲, 丙, 戊, 庚, 壬) encountering the five Yin stems (乙, 丁, 己, 辛, 癸) are called败财 (Defeated Wealth), which primarily harms the wife and children. The five Yin day stems encountering the five Yang stems are called Rob Wealth, which primarily leads to financial loss and waste, and guards against villains, but does not necessarily harm the wife. Specifically,乙木 takes戊土 (Yang Earth) and己土 (Yin Earth) as wealth stars.甲木 will seize己土 and damage戊土.丁火 takes庚金 and辛金 (Yin Metal) as wealth stars.丙火 will seize辛金 and damage庚金. The same applies to other stems. Regarding the relationship between brothers: when an elder brother encounters a younger brother, the younger brother can defeat the elder brother’s wealth and seize his wife; when a younger brother encounters an elder brother, the elder brother can rob the younger brother’s wealth but does not dare to take his wife. Wealth is desired by everyone, and in reality, when brothers meet, there is often competition. Harmonious examples like Bo Yi and Shu Qi are rare. Men with Rob Wealth in their destiny often harm their wives, while women with伤官 (Hurt Officer) in their destiny often harm their husbands. This is highly accurate. The five Yang day stems encountering the five Yin stems fall under the category of羊刃败财 (Yang Blade Defeated Wealth).
Poetic Interpretation:
Rob Wealth and Yang Blade are the most merciless;
Without an official star, one will be poor for life.
When甲 and乙 day stems encounter each other as Rob Wealth,
Even abundant wealth will turn to dust. 🔥
Rob Wealth reflects competition and resource contention in interpersonal relationships, especially among siblings, spouses, and wealth. It emphasizes the impact of the Five Elements' interactions on destiny and highlights the importance of balance.
In modern society, Rob Wealth can be compared to workplace competition, family property disputes, or conflicts of interest in collaborations. It reminds people to manage interpersonal relationships carefully and avoid losses due to greed or impulsiveness. For example, when investing or starting a business partnership, risks should be assessed cautiously.
Rob Wealth reveals the desires and contradictions in human nature, encouraging inner balance through self-cultivation. It embodies the Daoist idea of "governing by non-action," emphasizing顺应自然 (going with the flow) rather than强行争夺 (forcing contention).
Overall Meaning
The Punishment Combination Pattern primarily applies to those born on the six癸 days (癸丑, 癸卯, 癸巳, 癸未, 癸酉, 癸亥), using戊土 (Yang Earth) as the righteous official star. It favors encountering甲寅时 (the甲寅 hour), as寅 punishes巳 (the Earthly Branch寅 punishes巳), thereby "punishing out" the戊土 within巳, allowing the癸 day to obtain the official star. If the hour is庚寅, the punishment fails, and only甲寅 is effective. The luck cycle is similar to the飞天禄 (Flying Heavenly禄). If the Four Pillars contain the character戊 or己, it reduces the pattern's quality. It also fears庚寅 harming甲木, which damages the punishment, and忌讳 (avoids) the character申, which also reduces quality. Yearly and major cycles should also avoid these. If the pattern includes combinations, the person may lose their family due to alcohol and lust or develop illnesses. If the Heavenly Stems have combinations and the Earthly Branches have punishments or Yang Blade, and the luck cycle also has combinations, it may lead to loss of life due to alcohol and lust.
BaZi Examples:
Poetic Interpretation:
Those born on six癸 days encountering甲寅 hour,
A false name for punishment combination, not a true pattern.
If the monthly令 (order) is in亥 or子,
It can be classified as a Hurt Officer pattern. 🌊
Yin Water encountering寅 hour purifies the pattern,
But sorrow comes if庚 restrains and prevents punishment.
If the luck cycle does not enter the蛇地 (Snake ground,巳 fire),
One can achieve purity, fame, and profit.
癸 day with甲寅 hour is the Punishment Combination Pattern,
If entered, one becomes illustrious.
Official stars and七煞 (Seven Killings) favor encounters;
甲,申, and己 characters bring disaster.
If the pillars contain酉 or丑,
Those who encounter it become heroes of fame and profit.
Detailed analysis of yearly and major cycles determines glory or decline:
This is the true secret of the art.
寅 punishes巳,巳 combines with申;
寅 also冲 (clashes)申;
癸's official takes甲 as the Hurt Officer.
酉 and丑 invite巳 to form the Metal局 (combination). ⚡
The Punishment Combination Pattern uses Earthly Branch punishments (寅 punishes巳) to activate the official star, emphasizing the subtle balance of timing and Five Elements interactions. It focuses on avoiding clashes and impurities to maintain pattern purity.
In modern terms, this can be compared to unlocking potential through specific conditions (e.g., timing or environment). For example, in career development, seizing key opportunities (e.g.,甲寅 hour) may lead to promotion, but if干扰因素 (interfering factors, e.g.,庚 Metal) exist, the effect diminishes.
The Punishment Combination Pattern embodies the philosophy of "crisis as opportunity," where punishment may bring chances. It echoes the《易经》(I Ching) idea of "change," encouraging harmony within contradictions.
Overall Meaning
The Reverse Impact Pattern is used when the Four Pillars originally lack an official star. For丙 day stems, the午 character is used to冲 (clash) the癸 water in子, serving as丙's official star, regardless of combinations. If the Four Pillars contain the未 character,午 cannot clash子. It greatly忌讳癸 and子 characters, which reduce quality. The same applies to yearly and major cycles. Another version uses丁 day stems, with巳 clashing亥's壬 water, serving as丁's official star, regardless of combinations. If the Four Pillars contain辰 or巳 characters,巳 cannot clash亥, and it greatly忌讳壬 and亥 characters, reducing quality.
BaZi Examples:
Poetic Interpretation:
丙 day must encounter午 clash,
午 clashing子 brings auspicious meetings.
No need to discuss combinations; water is disliked,
Encountering子 or癸 again brings misfortune. 🔥
午 clashing子 and癸 is the official star,
Bringing fame, honor, and divine capital.
Most忌讳未官 (未 official) binding combinations,
A life of false profits and false fame.
丁 day often encounters multiple巳 characters,
In the pattern, no water brings nobility and harmony.
This Hurt Officer pattern favors complete restraint,
Encountering亥 punishment and clash empties the count.
丁 day uses multiple巳 to clash亥,
壬 and癸 should not appear in the Four Pillars.
If the Earthly Branch辰 appears,
It will bind and hinder nobility. 🌊
The Reverse Impact Pattern creates an official star through Earthly Branch clashes (e.g.,午 clashes子), emphasizing the wisdom of "creating something from nothing." It requires pattern purity to avoid impurities damaging the clash force.
This is similar to innovation or breaking conventional thinking. For example, in entrepreneurship, using反向操作 (reverse operations) can open new markets. But if obstacles exist (e.g.,未 character), success is difficult.
The Reverse Impact Pattern contains the Daoist idea of "reversal is the movement of the Dao," where clashes may bring renewal. It reminds people that opportunities often hide within limitations.
Overall Meaning
The Golden Deity Pattern has only three hours: 癸酉, 己巳, 乙丑. The Golden Deity is a破败之神 (god of destruction and defeat) that requires Fire to restrain it. Entering a Fire land is auspicious. If the Four Pillars also carry七煞 (Seven Killings) or Yang Blade, it signifies a true noble. Entering a Water land in the luck cycle brings disaster. This pattern requires Fire restraint in the Four Pillars to achieve nobility.
Poetic Interpretation:
甲午 hour encountering Golden Deity,
With煞 and seal临近 (approaching), a true noble.
In Fire and Wood luck, wealth and fortune arise,
But encountering Metal and Water will harm the body. 🔥
Golden Deity encountering Fire brings unquestionable nobility,
Metal and Water disasters are certain.
Entering a Fire land in luck brings great development,
High office and wealth are both suitable.
Encountering Golden Deity in the hour brings abundant noble energy,
But meeting Yang Blade requires balance.
If Water luck comes, poverty and illness follow,
Fire restraint brings high fame and lofty rank.
Encountering them in the hour is a blessed deity.
Arrogance and talent require restraint,
Meeting煞 and Blade makes a true noble.
Nature is fierce and talented, bright and sharp,
Encountering Water growth leads to immediate poverty.
Restrained luck cycle meeting Fire局 (combination),
Promotion to high nobility and unparalleled wealth.
Taking巳酉丑三合 as the Metal局, it favors encountering煞. ⚡
The Golden Deity Pattern emphasizes restraint (Fire restrains Metal) to turn misfortune into blessing, representing success through constraining and transforming negative energy. It focuses on Five Elements balance and luck cycle coordination.
In modern terms, this can be compared to turning缺点 (weaknesses, e.g., impatience) into advantages (e.g., action power) through self-discipline (Fire) to achieve growth. For example, in careers, restraining impulsiveness can lead to promotion.
The Golden Deity Pattern embodies the Confucian idea of "克己复礼" (restrain oneself and return to propriety), where self-restraint leads to great achievements. It integrates Yin-Yang and Five Elements philosophy, emphasizing dynamic balance.
Overall Meaning
The Kui Gang Pattern has four days: 壬辰, 庚戌, 庚辰, 戊戌. If the day pillar is one of these, it is a blessed luck. When the body is prosperous, it brings countless blessings, but一旦 (once) wealth or official stars appear, disaster follows immediately. Kui Gang is a煞 (negative energy) of heaven冲 and earth击 (strike). If it enters a person's destiny, it brings power but also vulnerability.
Poetic Interpretation:
The four Kui Gang days are the foremost,
Repeated encounters掌大权 (wield great power).
庚戌 and庚辰 fear official stars,
壬辰 and壬戌 fear wealth luck. ⛰
The master's nature is intelligent,
A heart inclined to killing is unwavering.
If the pillars have punishment, clash, restraint, or break,
Poverty to the bone and suffering鞭笞 (whipping).
戊戌 and庚辰 have the strongest煞,
壬辰 and庚戌 are called Kui Gang.
If the day is heavy, it becomes noble,
Body prosperity meeting it brings extraordinary nobility.
Those with Kui Gang have a strong nature,
Ghosts and gods worry beside this body.
If one encounters heavy punishment or clash,
Poverty to the bone is inevitable.
Multiple Kui Gang in the Four Pillars,
Noble energy gathers here.
If the day master alone encounters heavy clash or restraint,
Wealth, official stars, and endless blessings appear.
Repeated encounters bring great power;
乾戌 is heaven's righteousness,展 is earth's Kui. 🌬
The Kui Gang Pattern represents strength and authority but is vulnerable to wealth and official stars (restraints), emphasizing the principle of "extreme prosperity leads to reversal." It reminds people that power requires careful maintenance to avoid overexposure.
In modern terms, this is similar to leadership or authoritative positions: when body is prosperous (confident or resourceful), success follows, but once competition or financial pressure (wealth or official stars) is introduced, collapse is likely. For example, entrepreneurs should avoid overexpansion.
The Kui Gang Pattern contains the《易经》(I Ching) principle of "物极必反" (things turn into their opposites when they reach extremes), where great strength hides crisis. It encourages the middle path, avoiding extremes.
