Shanlin (Mountain Forest) is located at the protruding area of the temple horns, about two inches above the ears. Where the bone rises, it is called "mountain"; where hair is dense, it is called "forest." It governs Feng Shui energy. Male left, female right—ancestral property is determined here. Fujiao (Auxiliary Horn) is located beside the Sun and Moon corners, shaped like horns, assisting the sun and moon, hence the name "Auxiliary Horn."
Sikong (Minister of Works) is located at the upper end of the forehead and should be free of wrinkles. The area under its jurisdiction should be empty, free from marks, destructive breaks, roots, or entanglements.
Zhongzheng (Central Upright) occupies the very center and most upright position of the forehead.
