The three methods do not compete to produce a “more correct” answer. They organize a question at different levels of detail. Choose before casting: use the method whose inputs and result structure match what you genuinely need to examine.

- A quick situational check when a compact beginning-development-outcome sequence is enough.
- Input
- Selected lunar time or three spontaneous heart numbers from 1 to 9.

- Initial, middle and final positions among Da An, Liu Lian, Su Xi, Chi Kou, Xiao Ji and Kong Wang.

Start with the question, not the tool

Do you need line-by-line roles, moving lines and timing?
Choose SixYao. Its Na Jia chart keeps the most relationships available for inspection.

Did the question arise with a meaningful time, number or observed sign?
Choose Plum Blossom. Its related hexagrams preserve the image and the direction of change.

Pause instead of switching tools for a preferred answer. Record the first sincere casting and review its structure.
Calculation comes before interpretation
YiMatrix separates the deterministic chart from optional AI explanation. A method’s input creates a fixed structure; changing languages or opening a report does not recast it.
- The question, method, time and raw casting values remain attached to the record.
- Guest history stays in the browser; signed-in history can be stored in the account.
- AI may explain the completed result but does not choose lines, trigrams or positions.
Questions about choosing a method
Which method is the most accurate?
Accuracy is not a simple ranking. SixYao carries more chart structure, Plum Blossom is compact and image-led, and LiteSixR is intentionally brief. The best fit is the method whose workflow matches the question and the information you can supply.
Can I use all three for the same question?
Technically yes, but repeating a question across tools to search for a preferred outcome makes the comparison less useful. Start with one method, preserve the first result and use another only for a clearly different angle.
Does an AI report make one method more detailed?
An AI report can explain more context, but it does not add missing chart structure. LiteSixR remains a three-position result, Plum Blossom remains a related-hexagram system and SixYao remains a Na Jia six-line chart.
