Chapter 8 of 10
五禽戏
Gently form loose empty fists, shaping them like "bear paws," with the knuckle eyes facing each other, resting them in front of the lower abdomen, eyes looking toward the fists. Using the waist and abdomen as the central axis, the upper body first rocks in a clockwise swirling motion to form circles; the two fists follow the upper body movement, tracing a circle along the right ribcage, upper abdomen, left ribcage, and lower abdomen; the gaze naturally wanders with the upper body's swaying motion. Then repeat in the counterclockwise direction, with the fists tracing circles in the opposite direction. Finally, release the fists and open them into palms, letting them fall naturally to the sides of the body, eyes looking forward.
Shift the body's center of gravity to the right leg first, lift the left hip upward, drawing the left foot gently off the ground with the left knee slightly bent; form empty fists with both hands into "bear paws." Shift the center of gravity forward, step the left foot out to the left-front, landing with the full sole of the foot flat, toes pointing forward, with the right leg naturally extended. Rotate the body to the right, internally rotate the left arm and lean it forward, swinging the left fist to a position above and in front of the left knee, palm center facing right; swing the right fist behind the body, palm center facing back. Next, rotate the body to the left, sit the center of gravity back, bend the right knee, and straighten the left leg; twist the waist and rock the shoulders, driving both arms to swing in a forward-backward arc: swing the right fist to above and in front of the left knee, palm center facing right; swing the left fist behind the body, palm center facing back. Then rotate the body to the right again, shift the center of gravity forward, bend the left knee, and straighten the right leg; internally rotate the left arm and lean it forward, swinging the left fist to above and in front of the left knee, palm center facing left; swing the right fist behind the body, palm center facing back. Then repeat with left and right reversed. To close, step the left foot forward and stand with feet shoulder-width apart, letting both hands hang naturally at the sides; raise both palms toward the front-sides of the body to about chest height, palms facing up; bend the elbows, bring the palms inward and press down, then let them fall naturally to the sides, eyes looking forward.

If you experience dizziness, sharp joint pain, lower back discomfort, or loss of balance during practice, stop immediately. Movements should be comfortable and pain-free; do not force amplitude.
